Wednesday Comics

I went to the comic shop today even though there wasn't anything new to pick up but I was hoping to find something new among other things that I want to get. I was hoping to get Frontier #1 and thought it was possibly coming out today for some reason, lol but supposedly it doesn't come out until November?

I really liked Trillium #1 and #2 and got #3 and #4 today. I'm also really enjoying Moon Knight so I got the others as well. I would have tried to find more in the dollar bins but I had to go to the bathroom so badly from drinking too much coffee earlier, lol. And yesterday I ordered some books that I am excited about. Alan Moore's Writing For Comics Vol. 1, Understanding Comics and Making Comics by Scott McCloud. Curious to read about writing comics and what others writing on the subject have to say about it.

What I got today:
4 Kids Walk Into A Bank #1
Moon Knight #3
Moon Knight #4
Moon Knight #5

Dollar Bin:
Trillium #3
Trillium #4

New Comics Today

I haven't been posting as much here lately. Usually I write about something once a day but this week has been kind of exhausting. Also, I love the comic books section on Reddit. I spend most of my time posting on there lately. It's the best place to talk about comics, find out about anything news-wise, way better than any websites that are supposedly devoted to that kind of thing, and there are all kinds of interesting discussions going on there. I have a link on the left with comic sites if you haven't checked it out yet.

I also stopped at the comic book store today. I am starting to get the impression that they don't like me, they are definitely not that friendly to me but I get that a lot around here. When I first walked in today, I heard some weird whispering right as I walked by a couple workers which was odd. I usually keep to myself though and maybe they think I am kind of creepy. I also added a few more to my pull list, Paper Girls, Hellboy, and B.P.R.D. Last week they said if I added three more I would be able to get a 10% discount and I was planning on adding those anyway but they said this week that I need to add three more to get the discount, lol. I didn't think I needed just three more because they said you need fifteen on your pull list for the discount and before the three that I added today I only had ten on my list. I'm starting to get bad vibes from this place, lol.

With the comics that I got today, I picked up Moon Knight #2 third printing. They also still had Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. 1953 #1 so I got that. I was also able to find some good copies of Deadly Class, Black Science, and Trillium in the dollar bins.

From the dollar bins:
Deadly Class #1 1987
Black Science #13
Trillium #1 I've been wanting to find more sci-fi stuff and someone recommended this and it's from Jeff Lemire.
Trillium #2

New Comics Wednesday

Another nice day at my local comic shop. I've been reading a lot of good things about Moon Knight and wanted to check it out so I was able to get #1 of the most recent series and found a couple back issues in the dollar bins. Hopefully it's good. And supposedly I have a pull list but every week there is something not in it.

What I got today:
Wonder Woman #5 Frank Cho Variant
The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #11
Tank Girl - Two Girls One Tank #4
Hellboy in Hell #10
Moon Knight #1 If I had known they were charging $5 for this I wouldn't have picked it up.

Dollar Bins:
Moon Knight #12
Moon Knight #14

New Comics Today

I just got home from the comic book store. It's really difficult not stopping by on Saturdays. I am still looking for more comics to get into which is still kind of difficult a bit.

I got Sex Criminals #15. I had been curious about this and read great things but hadn't picked anything up until now. Hopefully it's good.

And I have been enjoying a lot of B.P.R.D. this week. I also like that there is a good amount of this in the dollar bins. I've been curious about checking out the Abe Sapian series but haven't yet.

Dollar Bins:
The Manhattan Projects #14 Curious about this comic.
The Manhattan Projects #15
B.P.R.D. #3 The Black Goddess
B.P.R.D. #4 The Black Goddess
B.P.R.D. #5 The Black Goddess
East of West - The World. I've been wondering about this comic too and found this here so I thought it was worth a dollar to check out.

Black Hammer #2 Review

I really loved issue #2 of Black Hammer. This is now my favorite comic to read even though there have only been two issues so far. This issue was even better than the first one which I loved as well and already had me hooked but this one confirms it already.

This issue goes into Golden Gail's back story and how she got her powers. As well as her current situation with being in school and dealing with how she went back to being a small child. It is really interesting seeing Gail's past with her growing up when she first got her powers to aging through the years into old-age. Although no matter her age, when she becomes Golden Gail, she always reverts back to her nine year old self which is the age she is stuck at now. There is also a little more information about how this group of superheroes is stuck in this small town unable to leave because of some kind of force field. And there is a little snippet of information about possibly another member of this group who is maybe not with them anymore who went beyond the force field and that's how they know they can't go beyond it. It will be interesting to know what that is about in later issues. Jeff Lemire really knows how to write great characters. The pace of the story and building up of the suspense of the story is perfect. I wish this comic came out every two weeks. Having to wait a whole month is too much. I also feel a need to check out all of Lemire's work.

And the artwork continues to be too good. Dean Ormston and Dave Stewart doing the coloring compliments the story so well. The fall-ish colors I like a lot and the whole feel of this comic art-wise, especially with this issue more so than the last is even better.

Wednesday Comics

I got most of what I was wanting to get. I was hoping to find a cheap issue of Pretty Deadly because I haven't checked that comic out yet but other than that it was a good comics day. The person working at the store said if I add three more to my pull list I will be getting 10% off of everything for now on. Most likely next week I will be adding Paper Girls, Descender, and Briggs Land. And I wonder if t his store is going out of business at some point. I rarely ever see anyone in there on Wednesdays or Saturdays when I'm there. That and how they order tons of new issues every week. It's a part of a pretty big chain and they seem to know how to operate comics shops though so hopefully there are no problems with that. I love this place though. If I wasn't so awkward and shy I would ask if I could work there part-time or even volunteer, lol.

New issues:
Black Hammer #2
Briggs Land #1
Descender #14

Other stuff:
Paper Girls #2
Paper Girls #7

Dollar Bin:
Criminal #2
Hate Annual #2
Lobster Johnson #1 of 5 The Burning Hand. I still want to check more of this out, the back issue I got last week was okay but I hope it's better than that one issue.
Mind MGMT #8

Looking Forward to New Comics Tomorrow

It's almost Wednesday and I can't wait to get the next issue of Black Hammer finally. It feels like so long ago when the first one came out. Both covers look awesome but if I can, I will pick up Jeff Lemire's variant. I like the creepiness of it. I am also getting Once Our Land but the person at the store said it wouldn't be there until next week most likely. I'll probably also pick up B.P.R.D. #144. I haven't gotten any new issues of B.P.R.D. but like all the back issues I've come across so far.I'm also curious about Briggs Land #1. I like the idea of a comic that deals with people who are anti-government and set up their own space. Hopefully the main character/s are not authoritarian socialist types and more actual anarchist but I can't tell from the brief synopsis of the comic. It will be nice reading a comic that doesn't have the main character or group helping out a government or military department.

I asked some people on Reddit for some recommendations and with what people mentioned, Descender looks like something to check out. I also want to get more Paper Girls comics if I can.

I Saw Suicide Squad Tonight and Loved It!

I loved Suicide Squad, so much that I might have to check out the comics now. I really don't know why people are making it out to be like it's not very good. There will always be people like that, especially on the internet and it's getting kind of old. I also loved the new Ghostbusters movie. I still don't know why people care what "critics" think anyways. Most don't seem to actually like movies to begin with or they are people who are not into movies involving comedy or action. And most people who write about movies for whatever publications or news outlets write more from the perspective of what their silly market is with who they work for.

I also don't get why people are acting as though this movie is bombing. Making millions and millions, and millions of dollars and being number one two weeks in a row, already surpassing their budget, and breaking records for their daily intake on days like Monday and Tuesday is hardly bombing. I also saw an article earlier about a movie that came out this week and only made it to third place and they wrote about it saying something about how it came out at a "healthy third." Really??? No one wrote about Ghostbusters when it was in third place and Ghostbusters is still playing in movie theatres.

And for those who hate the movie even though they didn't actually see it or people that did and didn't like it, yeah, maybe you should have instead gone to see Nine Lives or the Secret Lives of Pets, I'm sure those would be better than Suicide Squad, lol.

The only thing I didn't care for about Suicide Squad was the music they chose for it. It's been so overdone with summer movies, since all the way back with freaking Con Air and Armageddon. It's like they decided to pick songs from Shrek 1, 2, and 3. Also, where was Batman in all of this? The whole city had to be evacuated and this group of villains was put together but Batman had no interest in stopping what was going on, weird.

Other than that though, this movie was so good and just solid. I don't even care for super hero movies much. I never got into the X-Men movies or Spiderman much, especially after the first one's and Suicide Squad has been the best one compared to anything else for sure.

A Really Good Weekend of Comics

This has been an awesome weekend with comics, lol. I can't believe how I am still pretty obsessed with comics since getting into them a little over a month ago. I got a little worried a few weeks ago when I spent a bit too much money than I probably should have but I am back to obsessing about them every day. Tonight I am going to see Suicide Squad finally. I haven't checked out the comic books yet and doubt that I will but I am curious about the movie.

Yesterday I went to the comic book store and got my biggest variety of comics to check out so far. I am still trying to find things that interest me and getting better with fine tuning what kind of stuff I am into. I really liked the issue of Incognito that I got last week and cot a few more of those. And I finally got a couple Hellboy's and really like it too.

I also finally got an issue of Paper Girls, getting their latest issue #8 and love it. I am going to have to get as many other issues that they still have on the rack when I go there Wednesday.

And what I got from the dollar bins:
Criminal #4
Doctor Who - New Adventures With The Twelfth Doctor #10
Hate #7
Hellboy - The Fury 2 of 3
Hellboy in Hell #5
Incognito #3
Incognito #5
Incognito #6
Patsy Walker: Hellcat 1 of 5
Patsy Walker: Hellcat 3 of 5
Lobster Johnson #4
Sleeper #9
Sleeper #10

I also had my first kind of awkward situation with the person that works at the comic book store. I've dealt with him two or three times now and he's always been cool but when I gave him the comics that I got from the dollar bin he seemed suspicious of the Lobster Johnson and looked inside to see when it came out. Not sure if he thought it was a newer issue or something that should have cost more than a dollar but he didn't really make a big deal out of it but it just made me feel uncomfortable that he was suspicious. I probably would be too of new people coming into the store and they don't really know me yet but I love this place and want to support them as much as I can. I definitely wouldn't be shady and putting something in like a dollar bin pile although I am already weirdly self conscious about shopping in the dollar bin section already because they probably do get people who maybe do that and I don't know if they go through the long boxes extensively enough to take out all the really good or more expensive stuff. So yeah, I'm always weirdly self conscious about the dollar bins, lol. And sometimes people that work there walk by me a good amount while I spend way too much time there and in the dollar bins as well. It also doesn't help that I am really shy and don't like to look at people so I probably do seem creepy and probably shady there, lol.

Doctor Who - The Twelfth Doctor #8

I read this comic a few days ago and still on the fence about whether to check out more. I probably will but at first I wasn't sure if I liked this issue that much. The artwork is just okay and I don't really like how Capaldi is drawn. The story line fits in with what I do like about the television show and I am hoping the comic is a good replacement until the show's new season starts. In fact maybe I would like the comic even more since sometimes the show seems too long at times.

The writer does have a good feel for Capaldi's version of the Doctor though and the more I think about it, I probably will enjoy this comic more.

One thing that I hate though and it goes along with the show as well is how annoying it is that Capaldi is playing a guitar so much. It is the one thing that I absolutely loathe about this doctor and he is doing it again in this comic. It's so completely cheesy and just feels like the writers felt like because Capaldi is a bit old, that for him to connect with a younger audience, perhaps they should have him playing a guitar? One thing that I like about the Doctor, all of them is how they are a genuine, authentic person but Capaldi with a guitar is just too pathetic since it's just him posing and acting like how so many ridiculous people do when it comes to guitars. Not that you can't be old and play guitar, it's definitely not that but it just seems like a ridiculous way to be appealing to younger people it seems. It feels so old, like some really awful writers from the 80's came up with this and even when people did this back then or even now it is just completely pathetic. And yeah, the sunglasses along with the guitar is another notch added in lameness. Rant over.

Other than the guitar thing which is ruining this Doctor, I do like a lot of things about this new one and would like to check out more comics. Maybe I should check out the other Doctors in their comics, maybe it would be nice to see other varieties of the Doctor in the comic medium.

Wonder Woman #4 Review

The newest issue of Wonder Woman and it continues the beginning of Steve Trevor landing on Themyscira. I liked this issue a lot and have been looking forward to reading more of this story line but it's a bit all over the place and seems a bit rushed. I wish they had broken down what was covered in this issue into two different issues because there was a lot of ground covered and it feels like it just skips past things. The queen decides that someone from Themyscira must take Steve back to where he came from and for that person to never be able to return.

There is a contest between all the Amazonians and when there are only three left, the queen decides that the winner will be the one who survives the weapon that comes from where Trevor is from. It's a bit nutty because the weapon is a gun and the Queen points it at the first person, shoots them, they get a hole in them, they obviously lost, lol. Same thing with the next person. Then it's Princess Diana's turn and they just skip when she gets shot and she is now the winner. Then she and Trevor are getting on his plane that is fixed. Another thing is that his plane is fixed by the Amazonians and it is invisible. I am only aware of Wonder Woman from the 70's tv show and I think one of the early 80's cartoons where her plane is invisible and it doesn't make sense since she can fly and the invisible plane thing is absurd. The invisible plane thing is almost salvageable here though since it's Trevor's repaired plane but it's still a bit ridiculous. But I am also not aware of all the different series of Wonder Woman and her in other mediums but supposedly in some, she doesn't fly at all and others in which she does. Maybe she doesn't fly at all in this new Rebirth series?

Continuing with the story, Princess Diana is leaving, never to return. Another part that seems rushed too. In the first issue of this story, she talks about wanting to see what is beyond Themyscira and now she is all of a sudden leaving her mother and friends and there isn't much to that since she is now already boarding the plane with Trevor. Maybe this part of the story should have been broken up into three issues actually. There should be maybe more of her and Trevor having more of a connection other than her just helping him get better from his injuries also or maybe even talking more with one another.

Maybe I had higher expectations with this story line but there is a lot happening in this issue and I can't say that it's not good but I would have liked for there to be more details about all that is covered.

The artwork with this issue was pretty good too. Not as good as the other story line's but with all the information and things going on, things had to move on quickly and the art for the scenes during the contest are the best part in this issue. I also do like Frank Cho's variant cover, one of the last few that he is doing for Wonder Woman but this one is great.

Wednesday Comics!

Another good day at the comic book store. Today I got a short box to store my comics and I added Kill or Be Killed and Tank Girl to my pull list. They are also adding the next series of Tank Girl that is starting up soon after Two Girls One Tank. The person working there is also special ordering Once Our Land #2 from another New Dimension Comics store so I will most likely be able to get that as well. He said it will probably come in a couple weeks.

New issues that I got this week:
Wonder Woman #4 Frank Cho cover.
Doctor Who Twelfth Doctor #8

I also picked up:
The Boys #7
The Trees #2

And from the dollar bins:
B.P.R.D. The Warning #1
B.P.R.D. 1946 #5
B.P.R.D. The Ectoplasmic Man One-Shot
B.P.R.D. The Black Flame #2
B.P.R.D. The Black Goddess #2
Incognito #4

It's Almost Wednesday Comics Day!

I haven't been to the comic book store in a week. I haven't gone a whole week from going there since the first week that I started reading comics a little over a month ago. It's an addiction at this point but one that I am doing kind of well to not let it get out of hand, lol.

Comics coming out tomorrow that I am looking forward to...

Wonder Woman #4 - Continuing the story of Steve Trevor landing on Themyscira. I have been looking forward to reading more with this story line.

Doctor Who The Twelfth Doctor Year Two #8. I just found out yesterday that the newest season is not starting back this fall but sometime in the winter or spring. It sucks and I was really looking forward to it soon and love watching this show in the fall. Hopefully the comic helps with there being no new episodes but I also just hope this is a good comic worth checking out. And I like Peter Capaldi as the Doctor. There are all kinds of issues with the other Doctors at the store so hopefully there is a lot to choose from still.

Other things I want to find are some comics of the Boys, the Trees, maybe some more of B.P.R.D, and if there are still any Animosity #1's still at the store.

I also want to get a box to store my comics in. And I need to add a couple things to my pull list, Kill Or Be Killed and Tank Girl.

I Love My Local Comic Shop

I didn't get a chance to go to the comic book store this weekend. I was at first going to see the new Suicide Squad movie and wanted to do both together since they are both at the mall but then I didn't get a chance to Saturday and today I have just been feeling so blah. I am most likely going to see the movie next weekend and I don't have to work early in the daytime on Wednesday's so I will have more time on that day to go to the store. I'm also glad I didn't go because I still have comics to read and it's not like I am running out of them. And with how much I love going to the store, it will be nice to look forward to finally going Wednesday.

And so far I love my local comic book store. I am a bit worried that I will have a bad experience at some point, especially if I keep going so much, lol but I shouldn't. I am so thankful to have such a good local shop in my area. I've been reading so many horror stories of peoples bad experiences at comic shops that there are too many awesome things about mine that I am aware of just by comparison. I also really like reading about people's awful experiences for some reason. It's fun to google it and amazing at how awful some shop owners, employees, or customers are.

With the number of things that I love about New Dimension Comics in my area is that it's a really big space, no problem at all with it being well lit and clean, tons of comics, everyone that works there has been nice and not made me feel uncomfortable at all. I'm sure with some of my comic choices that I would be laughed at or made fun of if I were at another store possibly because of my sex. They seem female-friendly and queer-friendly as well. Also, from how other store owners have been to some, from what I've read, I'm thankful that I could get a copy of Once Our Land and also just variant covers without them upping the price. It's so weird that other places will just increase the price on the spot or refuse to sell something because of speculation or whatever.

With reading about horror stories with customers too, I haven't had to deal with any weird or creepy customers here yet. I can't imagine some other customer looking at my choices and berating me for them or something. Like seriously, how do some people do that? I am glad that when I go, there is usually no one there.

And with Wednesday, I am looking forward to getting some more Doom Patrol comics. I read one the other night that was kind of out there and I like how this comic is a bit weird. I also do want to find more comics that are kind of a mind fuck. Something in the vein of like Donnie Darko that has you thinking about all kinds of crazy things or something. I've heard some good things about The Boys and will try to check that out but I am not sure of what else might be good.

Tank Girl - Two Girls One Tank #3

Tank Girl - Two Girls One Tank #3 was a good comic. I read #1 but not #2 yet but like this series so far. In this issue Sub Girl is back although she is really creepy and not like how she was before she died. Curious to see what happens with her.Hopefully they don't end up having to kill her again  The military and police is after them and it's nice reading a comic about a super hero in which they are not working with the military or police. There are too many super hero's that do and it's kind of lame. I also like how Tank Girl has them go to a town to shoot up a bunch of bad 80's rock dude robots. Too hilarious!

I like this comic and think I might start following it regularly. Tank Girl and her friends are the funnest group of people and I like that they like to get fucked up and have as much fun as they can. They kind of remind me of some friends I had in Cleveland except Tank Girl and her friends are more fun since they have a tank. I also really like the artwork and wish there was a cartoon with this kind of style with it. Strange that there is only the movie from like twenty years ago. There should be more Tank Girl movies and things outside of the comic book.

Battlestar Galactica #1 Review

I was curious about this comic and was hoping it would be good. I've heard from more than a few people how much they liked the most recent series so I was hoping the comic would be interesting but it wasn't. Maybe it's because I am not familiar with the characters and story line that I just couldn't connect with this, I don't know. I do like some sci-fi and fantasy but this first comic was a bit of a bummer.

The artwork was the most bothersome thing about it. The characters are drawn so badly. They kind of reminded me of the early 80's cartoon version of the Hobbit and their characters. I did like how the environments and ships were drawn and colored though. I just couldn't get past the shoddy characters and inking. It reminded me a worse and sloppy version of Satellite Falling but this comic would be so much better if the artwork was done by Stephen Thompson and Lisa Jackson.

I did like both covers of this though. Although the variant cover that I have is another cover that isn't connected to anything inside. Why are there so many covers that have nothing to do with the actual content of the comic? I'm sure because it helps sell it but it's a shady way to go about it if it doesn't even have anything to do with what is actually inside.

Not that I want to just slag off a comic but this just didn't appeal to me. Maybe I should check out the next issue but I doubt that I will.

Kill Or Be Killed #1 Review

Kill Or Be Killed by Image Comics, the new comic from writer Ed Brubaker and artists Sean Phillips and Elizabeth Breitweiser is interesting. I am not familiar with this group's previous work but have been hearing a lot about their past stuff and need to check it out. With how much ugliness there is in the world and how much there is in the U.S., this comic seems to be coming at a good time. I hope this comic doesn't turn into some kind of violence fantasy porn for people who can't stand shitty americans but I can see that happening possibly. And the comic does touch on some of the scumbag-y elements that we are dealing with, asshole cops, psychopath presidential candidates, terrorist acts. Just asshole cops alone, you could have a super hero that deals only with them and to never run out of cops to deal with.

This is the darkest comic book I've read so far. Very dark and bleak. The main character Dylan reminds me of an even more depressed, negative, Donnie Darko but with a shotgun. It will suck if this series stays as negative as this first issue, hopefully it was only that way to set the story up. Another thing that reminds me of Donnie Darko is the dark creature that visits Dylan. It's definitely his Frank the Bunny it seems. After a failed suicide attempt Dylan supposedly has to kill others that "deserve it" in order to continue living since he possibly cheated death. Dylan doesn't know if the creature is real or imagined but I don't think it matters, either way, he has to deal with it and with how it's pushing him to kill others.

I really like the artwork with this comic. The pictures of the city under snow is really great. The city Dylan lives in looks like a depressing Pittsburgh during winter time but it could be anywhere really. The darkness of the art contributes to the story really well. One of the best things that I like about this comic is how realistic it is. The art, the complex characters, and the story show a really interesting vigilante/superhero type character and all the things they are dealing with.

Another thing that I like is how Dylan is dressed. I was just thinking about a week ago that a super hero shouldn't be dressed in some over the top and usually silly outfit but something more like just a hoodie and regular clothes because they could blend in easier and attack when they need to in a more advantageous way. They could slip in and out when need be and this character could definitely do that and this is just the most realistic approach to someone who goes out at night to deal with crime.

I am definitely following this comic more but do hope it's not as bleak as this first issue. Not that it would be a terrible thing but it would be nicer if things lightened up at least a little bit instead of just being a total bummer while this person does do the vigilante thing. Another thing I am curious about in upcoming issues is where Dylan draws the line with those that deserve to die. There is definitely a grey area with that and with how he needs to kill at least one a month, I wonder if there will be a time when he maybe can't find someone that is an obvious choice.

New Comics Tomorrow

Tomorrow is new comics day. I want to definitely get Tank Girl - Two Girls One Tank #3 and I want to check out Battlestar Galactica #1. The covers of Galactica look nice. I am always hearing how good this show is but still haven't checked it out yet. I remember seeing parts of the really old movie from I think the early 80's and hoping the comic book version is good.

There isn't much else from the list of things coming out tomorrow that I am wanting at this point but that will change when I am checking them all out tomorrow. I still want to find some good comics to follow. I read Top 10 #2 and #3 and will read #4 in a bit and like it. The quirkiness of it and how things are just all over the place are interesting. I am going to find the rest that were with those in the dollar bin last week and hopefully I can get all of them except for #1 which wasn't there. I also want to find more of B.P.R.D. and check out a couple of the newer issues if they still have them.

I also really liked Tank Girl - Two Girls One Tank #1 and want to find a copy of #2 somewhere.

I am going to not go over $20 or so but I am also running out of comics to read other than a bunch of Wonder Woman that I still need to read but I like having more of a variety to read from every day. And with Wonder Woman, I really liked the Convergence #1 issue and would like to find #2.

Bash Back - the Queer Mafia Thriller #0 Kickstarter Project

Bash Back - the Queer Mafia Thriller #0 needs a little less than a $1,000 to reach its goal on Kickstarter. They only have 17 more days to go. Please help and donate if you can.

I'm not involved with the project but it looks too good and it would suck if they didn't reach their goal.

Wonder Woman #3 Review

Following the story of  Wonder Woman trying to find out the truth about herself. The first issue starting with this story line didn't do much for me but I liked this issue and happy that both story lines with this series will hopefully be something good to follow. Wonder Woman finds her past friend and more recently foe Barbara Ann Minerva, the Cheetah and they agree to help one another out. I really like this character the Cheetah, seems like there is a lot going on with her, very complex, grey areas that she is dealing with. I am not familiar with both of their pasts together but like that they are into working together and being friends again if they were not in the past. Wonder Woman's compassion shines through in this issue more than any other comic I've read of her's so far.

Another great thing that I liked about this comic is that it confirms how great the artistic direction of this comic is going. I couldn't get enough of how good the art is. There is a thickness to it that I really liked, reminds me some kind of tattoo styles, especially the vividness of the coloring as well. It also kind of has a wood block printing feel to it as well.

So far the Rebirth Wonder Woman series has me completely hooked with the awesome art and two story lines going.
